Students got to see information like this on their walk through the historic Trabue Russell House. Framed and hanging in the dining room, is this document about local school sports. Before integration, black students in Columbia attended Jackman High School. In the years 1940, 1941, and 1942, the Jackman High School Basketball team competed in the Negro Sate Tournament in Frankfort. The most information found is for the 1942 teams. Players names are listed. To arrange for a visit to the Trabue Russell House, contact the City of Columbia at 270-384-2501.
