Quintella Lasley sworn in as Division II board member

2012-12-04 - 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
Quinn "Tweeta" Lasley
left was sworn as Adair County School Board member by Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton this morning at the Adair County School Board Conference Room, this morning, Tuesday, December 4, 2012. She'll assume the duties of the office on the first of January, 2013, and will actually occupy the seat in the center of the photo. Two oaths were administered. The first was the historic Kentucky oath of office, which requires office holders to state they have not taken part in a duel or been a second. Mrs. Lasley had not. And this one, requiring School Board members to state under oath that they will not try to influence the hiring of any school personnel and that they understand the only hiring they actually vote on is the hiring of a Superintendent and the Board Attorney.
