Tech: Mary's New Kindle Fire HD

2012-12-12 - Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener. One of the first, if not the first in Adair County - maybe the first - to get the latest Kindle Fire HD tablets, Mary Keltner, says the device is one of the neatest electronic devices she's ever owned. (She got it on the first day of Hanakkuh, December 8 - so it was legal to have the "Christmas" present open early, if there are any Santa snitches reading). The tablet has impressive speed, beautiful colors, a nice email client, and is especially good for reading books, magazines, and, what we were interest to see - ColumbiaMagazine.com. She likes it so much we're seriously getting one too - as soon as the relatively inexpensive Kindle is within our budget. - CM - The Techno-Neophyte Photo paired with: Mary's New Recipe Book(s) - a Kindle Fire 7-inch HD

Birds of Kentucky: Doves on the Move

2012-12-11 - Shelbyville, KY - Photo by Pen. I assume they're flying in a flock together, because more than a dozen doves settled into the fence row at the same time. They left just as abruptly, when a hawk stopped on a nearby tree.
