Miss Donna's Creek: Anyone know the name?

2013-01-17 - Eastern Adair Co., KY - Photo by Miss Donna Rieder.
Could this be "Little Clifty Creek"? - Good morning. I thought CM readers might enjoy a photo from last winter. This is a view of my creek, at the corner of Providence Church Road and White Oak Church Road, just past the Sam Coffey Hole. Does anybody know the name of this creek? Someone said they "think it might be" Little Clifty Creek. I'd like to know for sure, as I'm trying to come up with a nice name for my little farm here. Ya'll have a great day! Miss Donna Rieder

Epicurean Kentuckian: Prime Rib sandwich

2013-01-17 - 212 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by David Simpson. Prime Rib as a frequent menu item has been increasingly popular in South Central Kentucky. Time was, it was the ultimate meal - but required drives to Bowling Green, Louisville, Lexington, or Nashville to find the nearest place to find the elegant entree. Served in the traditional style, the Circle R, 712 Russell Road, makes Prime Rib a weekly event, every Saturday after 4:30pmCT. For what is billed as a Limited Time availability, the Cafe' on the Square, 212 Public Square, Columbia, KY is offering Prime Rib in Sandwich. It's popularity is growing, spokesman Ned Reagin said. At times the prep table is continuously making the sandwich. He wouldn't commit to making it a regular item. Photo by David Simpson.
