Storms cause brief power outage at Columbia Walmart 2024-07-30 - New Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener. Columbia Walmart lights flickered a couple of times setting off alarms as storms passed through on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Lights were quickly back on strong and shoppers continued their chores, just keeping an eye on what was happening in the pouring rain, thunder and lightening. The store has generators that will kick into action if needed to keep the power on. Some signs at customer pickup parking were blown over, as well.
