Summersville, KY: Bud Price's station

Larry Smith sent this photo from his collection of the Bud Price Station on KY 61, Hodgenville Road, in downtown Summersville, KY, his hometown. The station building is still standing, but the business is no longer open. The year could be dated approximately from the cars; maybe the late 1950's or early 1960's. The large two story house on the left was the home of fertilizer dealer and money lender James Skaggs. Larry Smith, Operations Manager for the Big Dawg, 99.9 FM, grew up in Summersville, KY. Scenic Marion Co., KY: High on the Hill on Highview Road

2013-02-15 - Raywick area, Marion Co., KY - Photo by Kenny Browning, The Feedman.
Located in the Raywick area of Marion County, Kentucky on Highview Pike. - This barn can be seen from all directions for several miles and this is as close to it as you can get. Seems like that the driveway that goes to it is always locked. After the trees leaf out not much of it is visible. The barn has a very distinctive roof line ... have never seen one with windows that run the length of the roof . (Might need to view Large to see what I am trying to say.) If memory serves correctly, this barn was built by the Gaddie family. If some of the locals see this would appreciate the first name of the Gaddie family that built the barn. Kenny Browning, The Feedman. Seen in the ColumbiaMagazine group on Flickr.
