2013-03-31 - Campbellsville, KY - Photo ColumbiaMagazine.com photo. The steel framework of the new INFAC plant is up and covered, bringing the first plant in Taylor County's Heartland Commerce and Technology Park a step closer to reality. The Park is located just south of Campbellsville, approximately 15 miles of Columbia. The plant faces New Columbia Road and is the second facility for the Korean automotive parts manufacturing company in Campbellsville. The first plant is located at 800 Industrial Drive. INFAC was established in 1969 in South Korea and specializes in automotive components, such as mechanical control cables, solenoids, antennas and horns for General Motors, Chrysler, Hyundai and KIA. In 2008, the company opened its U.S. operation, which currently has 60 employees, in Campbellsville. The new plant will add approximately 20 jobs. INFAC has outgrown the leased 52,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center and plans to build a new 100,000-square-foot assembly, manufacturing and warehouse facility. 2013-03-30 - Glens Fork Creek Bridge, KY 55, Adair County, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Friday afternoon March 29, 2013, traffic headed south on KY 55 for the Ken Hill's Fish Fry at Hardscratch General Store & Deli had to go through a traffic light to reach this narrow pass across the Glens Fork Bridge. A second traffic light can be seen in the northbound lane on the left. The crest of the hill is Central Business District in Zion, with offices of Gaddie Shamrock Stone, out of view here, on the right, and the headquarters of Melson Roofing, Zion's other major employer, the white roofed building seen behind the traffic signal. The bridge and approaches are getting an additional 3 feet of width on each side of the road. Monday, county officials are planning a small ceremony early next week.

Cat woman conquers sliding board
2013-03-30 - Photo by Uncle Pen. With her cat face paint and Aunt Annette pigtails, Tillie was as agile as a mountain lioness on the sliding board. No word on whether her father, Tom - a two time conqueror of Mt. Washington, NH, on a bike - at the top of slide, ever worked up the courage to make the thrilling descent.
