Downtown Columbia people in Shelbyville, KY 2013-04-01 - Shelbyville, KY - Photo by Pen. Window shopping is for everybody, but especially for little kids. Downtown USA seems to have more than other places, not as much as in the 70s and 80s, too little to satisfy all, but enough to fascinate kids in a healthy way. Even grownup store fronts made Tillie the two year old enjoy an Easter outing. For one, there was a Big Pig to sit on. And for two, a store with a sign which says "Treasures and Rabilia" has to be for children even if the store thinks it's for grown ups. Katie McGaha stands at the entrance to her family's home on Sano Road/KY 1929, Sano, KY, with the Free Union Separate Baptist Church in the background, and across the road, in the field, the American Bald Eagle eating a road kill possum. The eagle seemed oblivious to the humans around while eating, but at other times seemed to bask in the notoriety his presence brought to the community, even seeming to pose for photos. At times cars were parked all along the roadway. Katie and her twin, Kellie, are freshmen at Adair County High School.
