Pink Lily
- Kim also has wonderful flowers sprinkled in just the right places around her place. This wonderful Pink Lily is in full bloom. They always catch my eye because I have never seen them anywhere else. - Shamarie Claiborne

Topside, Album for June 23, 2013: Grapes

Kim Pelly's grapes are looking good enough to eat already this year. Her yard is the best in the neighborhood - if you ask me. And you could live in her yard for a good 3 months between the fruit trees, grapes, and garden. - Shamarie Claiborne

Topside, Album for June 23, 2013: Disney Buzzards

2013-06-23 - Topside of The Holler, Old Clearsprings Road, Ozark, KY - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne.
Bizzard - or 'Turkey Vultures," as Dylan would correct me - I was heading down New Concord and low and behold I came across this scene from Disney's Robin Hood For any parent out there who's child has watched this classic you will get it immediately. I swear I could faintly hear... 2 o'clock and all is well... I am sure the sheriff is in woods somewhere , I just couldn't see him. - Shamarie Claiborne

Owl
Got so excited when I saw this owl! They are hard to get a shot of during daylight hours. It's playing like it's a scare crow - or scare owl, if you will. - Shamarie Claiborne

Topside, Album for June 23, 2013: Apple

2013-06-23 - Topside of The Holler, Old Clearsprings Road, Ozark, KY - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne.
The makings of Great Fried Apples from my childhood
- I might just have to ask for some of these green apples when they become completely ready. They make me think of my grandparents and cousins. In the summers we would travel the small little holler in town from our Grandparents, Dorothy and Lucian Harper's. to our Great Grandfather's Ed Moss house. Along the route was a wonderful green apple tree. Sometimes we would eat on the spot and other days we would gather them up and take them to our Nanny's (Dorothy) helper Ms. Alene and she would make fried apples for us. How lucky we were. I happened to look the other day and tree is gone but for Tammy Kassam and I, it is a treasured memory of a much simplier time. - Shamarie Claiborne

Lunch compliments of Farmers Market on the Square.
- Fresh Potato Bread from Tucker's Station Farms is the base for my Hormel all natural turkey meat and Heavenly Farms Cheddar Cheese with a little bit of Olive Oil Mayonnaise Sandwich. Straight off the bush Blueberries from Tucker's Station Farms and blue all natural Corn Chips are side items. What more could a person ask for in life except to hopefully make Pen as hungry as his wonderful meals make me! - Shamarie Claiborne
