All three voiced support for the action and all three praised the work of the present Board of Trustees and the results they are achieving in turning around the fortunes of the facility. Still plastic covered: The commemorative plaque noting the principal office holders and firms involved in the construction of Adair County Primary Center was still plastic covered on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. At the time, one of the two classroom wings had been turned over to the school district and move in had begun. The other wing and the administrative offices will transferred and ready for classes by the opening day of school for students, August 14, 2013. Larry Smith, Operations Manager for Shoreline Communications found this memorable old "Welcome to Greensburg in the Heart of KY." sign photo in his collection, believed to be from some 50 years ago. It stood on the Columbia/Edmonton side of the Green River Bridge. A notable feature in fixing the time is that the sponsoring organization was then known as "Junior Chamber of Commerce," a term those born after 1970 seldom associate with "Jaycees" today.
