Happy Tale - Eeyore

2013-10-15 - Photo by Peg Schaeffer. Eeyore, , above, right has a complex personality. The accompanying Happy Tales, has been one of the most popular ever on CM. Eeyore is an Adair County move in. He started out with Peg Schaeffer in Conneticut, where he became invaluable, despite some vexing charateristics, looking after the young 'uns. When he got to Sparksville, Peg writes, "He resumed his duties of caring for the weanlings and was added a new responsibility. We purchased some miniature horses and they became his wards. His job was to protect them from the coyotes and other predators. Again he is great at this job. We now have five minis and he keeps them safe. But there's always been one thing missing in Eeyore's life - another donkey.' There's a Happy Ending to this Happy Tale,: Click ReadMore to find how Eeyore also found romance.

Matt Bevin with Sonny-built flatbuilt

2013-10-14 - 200 Quadrant, Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Matt Bevin holds a relatively fancy Sonny Vance built wooden flatbed truck at Sonny's Crafts stand on the Jamestown Street Corner of the Public Square. The toy reminded Bevin of a model lumber truck he had built for himself when a young boy 33 years ago in the far northern part of New Hampshire. Bevin sent a photo for comparison. The wooden truck Matt Bevin made as a boy

2013-10-14 - Louisville, KY - Photo By Matt Bevin. Matt Bevin is right. The flatbed truck he made as a boy in New Hampshire is quite similar to the ones Sonny & Trilby Vance had for sale at the Sonny's Craft booth Bevin visited at Downtown Day, Saturday, October 12, 2013. When the candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate saw the Cane Valley-builts, he promised to send a photo of his, and did today, with a request they send it on to share with us. He wrote, " Sonny and Trilby, Here is a picture of the truck I made as a boy (33 years ago)...Not as nice as the ones you make, but the only one I ever made...Please share this photo with Ed Waggener, in case I have the wrong email address for him...Best regards, Matt Bevin." 2013-10-14 - 400 Quadrant, Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Gary Crawford. Me and the Band - Tish Paris and Members of 'In the Middle of Nowhere.'
My husband Gary Crawford snapped this photo of me with members of "In the Middle of Nowhere,' Friday night, October 11, 2013 during Downtown Days. The band was fantastic. I don't think there was a dry eye on the Square when they did their tribute to Chad Compton. It was a scene I know I'll never forget. Above, from left Nick Kemp, Lee Kendrick, Tisha Paris, Russ Milby, and Jason Van Arsdale. - TISHA PARIS.
