The 2014 Campaign is already in high gear - Some 450 supporters of Alison Lundergan Grimes, running for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Mitch McConnell, were at a fundraiser at Center Square, Lebanon, KY, last night. Among them, this table of Nuns for Grimes. Sorry, I failed to get the names of the sisters, but the Saintly Gentleman in the center is Elmer George, who organized the shindig. I saw people there from all over the Big Dawg 99.9 listening area with the biggest group from Marion County, of course, but lots from Taylor, Casey, Green, Adair, and a whole bunch of Democrats from Russell County. By the way, folks studying communities for ideas have to see this place. Centre Square has a fine arts building and conference center. It is a made over school campus. The new girl at TaP's Diner came up with this for 4-way Chili after making a conference call to Chef Gary Crawford, and came up this possibly better version than they know how to make in Greater Northern Kentucky. It's their chili, over cooked to order spaghetti, smothered with shredded cheese, and topped with diced sweet white onions and Halloween peppers. I won't tell if y'all won't tell: There wasn't a hint of cocoa!!! Even so, goosed up with copious amounts of Tabasco, it made a fine breakfast.
