Sign at Big Amish Store, Munfordville, KY

2013-11-17 - Munfordville, KY - Photo By Linda Waggener, CM Photo.
The sign on the entry at what locals call the "Amish Walmart"
in the Munfordville area lets folks know up front that this is a different place. Many Kentuckians appreciate the traditional ways of our Amish neighbors and trade with their stores. The entry sign asks that you stop and make sure you are dressed "modestly" before entering. It spoke to my conservative heart and personal policy of keeping bodies covered from neck to knees in public. - Linda Waggener
