A promise made good to a man who loved Christmas 2013-12-18 - Trinity UMC Church, Campbellsville RD, Columbia, KY - Photo contributed . To a man who loved Christmas. There's more to this sign than meets the eye. Two days before Ricky Hadley passed away, he asked some family members to promise that closer to Christmas they would decorate a big tree, in their grandmother Mary's front yard, just for him. He knew he wasn't going to make it to December and oh how he loved Christmas time. So all Columbia folks, when you're on Hwy. 55 (across from Betty's OK Country Cooking) you will see a promise made good on...a shining tree with a sincere message wishing everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS! Family members send this message to Ricky, "Merry Christmas Ricky, in heaven, we love you!" See also: A tribute to Ricky M. Hadley, Adair Co., KY (1956-2013) for a bit more about this quiet, good man Comments? | Click here to share, print, or bookmark this photo.
