Wes Crawford: Snow on Magnolia Avenue for worried Granddad

2014-01-17 - Magnolia Avenue, Shelbyville, KY - Photo by Wes Crawford.
Before we heard from Hailey's snow experience
, we contacted reliable operatives in Shelby County documentation of he situation there, as any similarly concerned grandparent would do. Wes Crawford of Kentucky's premier journalist/broadcaster family provided this picture of a neighborhood like Tillie's south of Main Street in Shelbyville, KY. It confirms a snowman size snow in that northern city, and I assume, a good time being had by all. - GRANDDAD, ED WAGGENER Paired Wes Crawford photo(s). Election 2014 (Ad): Harrison Moss, for Adair Co. Sheriff

2014-01-17 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square - Photo CM staff photo.

To the great citizens and voters
of Adair County, Kentucky

Your vote and support in the Tuesday, May 20, 2014 Primary Election will be greatly appreciated

I would like to thank you for your support and help during my 3 years as your sheriff.

We have had a very successful war against drugs in Adair County, especially Methamphetamines, and, when you combat drugs, you also combat violence and theft.

We now have all our Deputies Academy Trained. The Adair County Sheriff's Office has officers on duty or on call 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Our audits are still excellent and, while the budget is very strenuous, we have never exceeded our budget.

Our Deputies, staff and I strive daily to provide a Fair, Honest, and Efficient Sheriff's Office for you, the Citizens of Adair County.

As we enter the Year of 2014 begins - this election year - I humbly ask for your vote and support in the upcoming election. I will try to see as many of you as possible. If I don't see you, please know that I would appreciate your vote and I want you to know that your vote on my behalf will be for Continued Honesty, Integrity, and Dependability in Your Sheriff's Office.

Thanks you.

Sheriff Harrison Moss

Lauren McQuaide is one of the smartest, kindest, funnest young ladies I know. She is always smiling, laughing, and enjoying life, as she was last night, Thursday, January 16, 2014, at the Adair County Middle School Homecoming. What a great role model for us all! - Shamarie Claiborne

David Jones, Transportation Director, Adair County Schools, took this photo on KY 551 N/Knifley Road, near Knifley, at 4:55amCT this morning - reason enough, in itself, to cancel school in Adair County, today, but there was also black ice over most Adair County, making travel treacherous for everyone. - ALAN W.
