Scenic Adair Co., KY: Help needed to caption Pellyton photo

2014-02-09 - Pellyton, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener. Kentucky Color: Broom Sedge Babies

2014-02-09 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge, Retired District Forester, KY State Division of Forestry.

Broom Sedge Babies
By Billy Joe Fudge
Broom sedge, all brown and regal,
Standing against Winter sky of blue.
Babies borne on angel hair wings
Drift on breezes gentle to
Distant nurseries of clay.

Broom sedge, all brown and regal,
Standing tall above whistling quail.
Warming in a sunlit bath;
Where silken, cotten sails unveil
To carry Babies far away.
- Billy Joe Fudge, February 8, 2014
