Hailey takes time out from cheerleading for study

2014-03-12 - 1901 Snyder Street, Corbin, KY - Photo by Granddad. Hailey took time out to read The Going to Bed Book while in Corbin, KY with her Mom Amy, Father Pen, above Big Brother Graham and grandparents from Columbia to support brother Evans Odyssey of the Mind team in East Regional competition. At this stage of the competition, little can be revealed about their entry, because of tight security around the teams project. Competition could see just a small piece of their entry and reconstruct it the way archeologist see one thumb bone from a dinosaur and build a life size model. "Loose lips still sink ships." But suffice it to say, for now, that Evans team from Southside Elementary won and will go onto State at Richmond at a time to be announced later. If they win there, it's on to World Competition in Des Moines, and that's were real Neo Cold War clandestine operations come into play. Ev expects Russians to be there. Corbin's school system, a tops in Kentucky district, has had multiple Odyssey of the Mind World Championships. - Granddad, Ed Waggener
