Larry Smith interviews Matt Bevin on the Big Dawg
2014-04-15 - 101 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith. Matt Bevin stopped by the Big Dawg for an interview yesterday, (April 14, 2014) accompanied by two of my favorite people, Eddie and Tiffany Kessler of Columbia. He said that job creation will be a front burner item on his agenda if he is elected. He said his heart goes out to those 600 employees of Fruit of the Loom who are losing their jobs. Bevin said that his opponent has not created a single job since NAFTA took effect. He's a great guy. Pity he doesn't get on healthcare. He and others critical of Obamacare may be in for a rude awakening when it sinks in how many people are already benefit from it. Still, he was a great interview. - Larry Smith (Note on the 'product placement' Coke sign. CM is not promoting fizzy drinks. It's posted because it's historic. The Big Dawg Studio was once the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant in Campbellsville, KY. Today, Clark Beverage, the present day successor bottler also promotes healthier drinks, water & juices, as well.)

An Evening out in San Antonio: Even underpasses are festive
2014-04-15 - San Antonio, Texas - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne, Adair Co. School District photo. Underpass Even the underpasses are decorated and festive. San Antonio could show the rest of the country how to make concrete and steel more attractive. Louisville could take a few hints. It really is the small things that impress me though. - Shamarie Claiborne

An Evening out in San Antonio: The Crockett Hotel
2014-04-15 - San Antonio, Texas - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne. The Crockett Hotel was right outside the window of my hotel. It made me think of home each time I walked into my room. The Alamo is right on the other side of the Hotel. - Shamarie Claiborne

An Evening out in San Antonio: Reminder to visit Venice
2014-04-15 - San Antonio, Texas - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne. There are many of these little bridges along the river that allow you to travel from one side of the river to the other. This area put me in mind of Venice, Italy or I should say pictures I have seen of Venice. As a child it is the only place in Europe I wanted to go. Actually, I still want to go there, it is at the top of my bucket list. Maybe that is why I enjoyed San Antonio so much. - Shamarie Claiborne

An Evening out in San Antonio: Decorative features everywhere
2014-04-15 - San Antonio, Texas - Photo by Shamarie Claiborne. Decorative features are all over San Antonio but especially along the river front. These art deco style lights along the base of this bridge gives the area a touch of nostalgic flare. - Shamarie Claiborne
