Larry Smith, South Central Historian and photo collector, and Operations Manager for Shoreline Communications, found this early black and white postcard depictiing the Tebbs Bend Confederate Monument. He says that there may be another photo which shows the top more clearly. Comparing the photo, with those of the monument today, it is clear that a large base has been added, and that blocks have been added, apparently to increase the height.
