Stray dog shows up in Longhunters Subdivision
2014-08-15 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Chris Bennett. A dog showed up in my neighborhood, in Long-hunters subdivision at around 204-205 Butler Street, Columbia, KY. The dog has a wound on its face and will not let me get near it as it seems afraid. I am sure it is probably someone's dog I hope they see it and come and get it, or the local dog catcher needs to come and get it. The dog needs medical attention. Thank You for your help. Chris Bennett Phone 270-378-1036. Received at 9:19amCT, Friday, August 15, 2014

2014-08-15 - From new overpass, US 68/LBN interchange, Edmonton, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener. Traffic on US 68 between Edmonton and Greensburg is already using the new bridge as the interchange is now only weeks away from construction. On the right, the exit from US 68 to the Louie B. Nunn to Columbia, Russell Springs, Nancy and Somerset and points east takes shape. On the left, the exit from the LBN to US 68. The new interchange will shave some 5 miles off the trip to and from Edmonton. It will also be part of building a major highway hub at Edmonton. Plans are already underway to improve US 68, and KY 163, from Tompkinsville to Edmonton is being steadily improved. - EW
