2015-01-04 - Adair County Judicial Center, 201 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. Holding her hand on the Bible held by her oldest daughter, Courtney, Circuit Judge Judy Vance was the first official to take the office of 29th Judicial Circuit Judge for a second term. Judge Vance was elected in 2010, over strong opposition for the judgeship, which serves Adair and Casey County. In 2014, she was re-elected without opposition. The oath was administered by Kentucky Court of Appeals Judge Debra Hembree Lamberth. It was the first time an Appellate Judge had attended an inaugural event in Adair County, Circuit Court Clerk Dennis Loy said in his opening remarks. Mr. Loy can be seen in the right background. At left, background, is Columbia City Councillor Charles Grimsley.
