Happy 100th birthday, Irene Nell

They were especially honoring her for this birthday because on Friday, July 24, Irene will be 100 years young. She and her husband Bill ran a popular business on the square in Columbia for 28 years, Nell's Variety Store, a favorite of all who remember it. - LW

Maria will be going this weekend to compete for the title of Wee Miss United States Festivals in Nashville, TN at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. Maria was qualified to go compete at the national level when she won Personality Supreme Wee Miss KY last November at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington. She will meets lots of girls from across the U.S. and is excited to represent Kentucky!!
