Back in Time: Smoke Signals Volume 36, Issue 2

2015-08-20 - Adair Co., KY - Photo by Russell Walker.
Al Owens' recent trip through Seattle jogged ACHS alum Russ Walker's memory of a keepsake from the spring of 1986 -- a copy of Smoke Signals, the Adair County High School newspaper. He uploaded the paper to Flickr, and we've put together a PDF that you can download to read all 4 pages as a single document. In addition to Anthony Spires' front page story of the Academic Team's trip to the Sweet Sixteen, headed up by Walker, Shane Arnold, Brian Melton and Chris Rowe, Volume 36, Issue 2 of Smoke Signals also includes Felicia Wingler's article on FFA Awards, Kevin Wilson's article about Kristy Lemon making the Cheerleading Squad as a freshman, Tracy Miller's account of the '86 NCAA Champion UL Cardinals' visit to the ACHS gym, Robb Durham's article on ACT preparations, and several great ads from businesses past and present.
