Pope Lick Monster succumbs to gentrification

According to wikipedia, "The Pope Lick Monster is a legendary part-man, part-goat and part-sheep creature reported to live beneath a Norfolk Southern Railway trestle over Pope Lick Creek, in the Fisherville area of Louisville, Kentucky." Today, the Louisville Loop passes underneath the trestle, just beside Pope Lick Road, with runners and bikers providing steady traffic from dawn until dusk on the ambitious, paved and landscaped 100-mile park loop around Jefferson County.

Adair Co. School District releases enrollment figures

I am pleased to report that enrollment numbers at Adair County Schools have once again shown a gain at a time when many rural school districts have seen static enrollment or decline. The numbers were generated this morning, Tuesday, August 25, 2015, nearly three weeks into the 2015-16 school year. - Alan W. Reed

Leo Medina, first time kicker, proves to be valuable Indian

Leo Medina #3 Kicks off the season opener with this play as a first time kicker on a football team. Leo came to the tribe after years of soccer, and after Friday night's, August 21, 2015, performance, proved to be a valuable team member. Adair County won the game, 28-6. - Cathy Luttrell.
