Mystery to Us: The tree on Theron Akin Road
2015-10-05 - Theron Akin Road, near Portland, Adair County, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. There almost has to be something highly significant about the tree on Theron Akin Road. The art looks like an elephant's face in parade dress at first, but that may not be it at all. Anybody know. Enlightenment appreciated, using Comments button with this photo. - EW

God put a sun-dog in the sky
2015-10-04 - From Hospital Hill, Bomar Heights, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener. There was beautiful sunset this evening especially from the parking lot beside the old Adair Memorial Hospital Building. And in the sky, just to the right of the tree in the center of the picture, there is a sun dog, which old timers at Sulphur Well used to tell us meant bad weather coming. The picture was taken Sunday evening, at around 6:30pmCT, October 4, 2015.- LW
