The Kindergarten staff always dresses up for the kids and this year we decided to mix our costumes with our district's academic focus- MATH!! We came dressed as an ABAB pattern for the kids. Swimming a jig fooled this nice smallmouth bass, caught by Lexington resident James Charas several years ago on a cold December day from Lake Cumberland. Now is the time to swim a hair jig and pork trailer combination for cold water black bass. Sloping banks, like the ones in the background of the photo, are high percentage cold weather spots to swim a hair jig with a pork trailer, called a "fly and rind" in Kentucky and Tennessee.
