Fall 2015: Farewell Pumpkin-Butt and all the Squarecrows 2015-10-31 - public square Columbia, KY - Photo By Linda Waggener. More laughter has been generated this October by the award-winning Squarecrow referred to as 'Pumpkin-Butt' than by anything in recent memory. All 39 entries, set to disappear by tomorrow, November 1, put smiles on the faces of hundreds of visitors to the historic Adair County Public Square. However, this Squarecrow -- aimed strategically, innocently or by design, into the faces of oncoming traffic -- just got howls of laughter. The creative group entering this nurse/patient pumpkin duo was HOSA – Future Health Professionals at Adair County High School. Just about the time all the Squarecrows have come to feel like close friends waiting for us to join them downtown, it will be a loss to let them go after tonight's annual Halloween Treats on the Town. The Squarecrow project, sponsored by the Adair Heritage Association, will be held annually by popular demand. For more information, stop by the public library between now and next September.
