The book and recipe for Lace Cookies

2024-12-17 - Columbia, KY .
Visitors who enjoyed a Lace Cookie at the Robertson's home on the Chamber of Commerce tour wanted the recipe. Thelma shared it from the book 'Being Dead Is No Excuse - The Official Southern Ladies Guide to Hosting The Perfect Funeral,' by Gayden Metcalfe and Charlotte Hays.

Lace cookies are delicate, delicious and beautiful. They're not difficult. It just takes a bit longer because the dough spreads, so you get only a few per baking sheet. The recipe follows.

Be sure to send Columbia Magazine a picture and notes about how the recipe works in your kitchen if you give them a try.
