KY Afield Outdoors: Quail season varies by zone 2015-11-12 - Photo by Lee McClellan. The outlook for rabbit and quail hunting is positive for the 2015-2016 seasons. Rabbits are plentiful statewide while quail hunters should find productive hunting at Peabody Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in the Western Coalfield Region, Yellowbank WMA along the Ohio River in Breckinridge County and in reclaimed mine areas in east Kentucky. New banner at ACHS: Proficient/Progressing High School 2015-11-12 - ACHS 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by David Jones, Director of Building and Grounds/Transportation . The installation of a new banner celebrating the successes of ACHS was completed yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, November 11, 2015. The banner is located prominently on the south end of the building. Pictured in the bucket truck was Trent Booher. Other members of the Maintenance Department involved in the installation of the banner were Randolph Lewis and Mark Parnell. Superintendent Alan Reed said this is the first time in its history that Adair County High School reached Proficiency on K-PREP state testing and that he hopes to eventually replace the banner with a new one that has the word Distinguished on it. Columbia Walmart store manager Andrew Mitchell said that as a Veteran himself, working on this event to honor all who served is one of the things he most looks forward to each year. He named all the businesses listed in the program and said it takes all donations each year to be able to provide the breakfast.
