Making the traditional foods for a Kentucky Thanksgiving celebration is an art and chefs are the center of attention as aromas and anticipation build to the holiday feast. It takes a lot of love to do the work of preparing all the dishes, and sharing food with family and friends. This plate shows samples of baked turkey and dressing, honey ham, scalloped potatoes, little sausages rolled in bacon, yeast rolls with butter, cheesy shells, broccoli rice casserole, candied yams and sweet cherries. "Revive Russell County", KY, advocates for making the sale of alcoholic beverages in Russell County, KY, and has already secured enough signatures for the Russell County Clerk to certify that their petition is valid and Judge Gary Robertson has order an election. It's set for January 19, 2016. Revive Russell County is located next door to the Russell County Baptist Association building, on the right. The Russell County wet campaign is very similar to one underway in Adair County, "Progress in Adair County," which is limited to making the City of Columbia wet. Latest word is that over 500 have signed the petition in Columbia, well over the number required to get the matter on the ballot. - EW.
