Bobby and Shirley Morrison brought young Haydon Beard "the first", busy with a yummy sucker, to Christmas in Columbia today. Hayden, son of Jon and Brook Beard of Kinfley, is the first grandchild of Robbie and Tammy Shelton and the first of Johnny and Melinda Beard. The little boy is the first great grandchild of the Morrisons and the first great grandson for Doug and Pat Ferguson of Knifley. Bobby asked if Haydon would like to walk and attempted to let him stand alone among the booths in the old courthouse, but Haydon chose to enjoy the view from the ride on great granddad's shoulder. Visiting downtown Columbia today was young Mathias Craesmeyer,5,the son of Paul Robert and Mariana Craesmeyer, missionaries from Brazil. Mariana said she loved our small town and Mathias enjoyed climbing around the fountain area of the square. They were hosted by Alberta and Vitis Bailey, and will join them tomorrow for Sunday services at Grace Bible Church in Goodlettsville, TN. Alberta said she and her husband enjoy their two-hour drive to church every Sunday as the highlight of their week. They have been attending Grace Church for seven years now. Lynn recalled Rhonda coming to work at the Bank of Columbia some 39 years ago as a high school student co-op worker. She is now the head bookkeeper.
