Kentucky deer hunters surpassed 150,000 deer harvested for the first time ever this season with the free youth weekend on Dec. 26-27, crossbow season until Dec. 31 and archery season until Jan. 18 still remaining. Kentucky hunters set the previous record with 144,409 deer harvested during the 2013-2014 deer seasons. They also set monthly harvest records this past September, October and November.
