Michael Pape has officially filed for U.S. Representative, KY 1st 2016-01-22 - Photo from Michael Pape campaign . U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield (R-KY-01) signed papers for his District Director for 21 years, Michael Pape, right who filed his papers on Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the Secretary of State's office in Frankfort, KY. Pape calls himself a "fiscal and social Ronald Reagan conservative." He says that, if elected, he will join approximately 40 other representatives who sleep in their offices and go home to their residences in their district after the last vote is cast. Because of bad weather, Rep. Whitfield did not accompany Pape to Frankfort, but wholeheartedly endorsed him and promised to help him on the campaign trail.
