Wednesday she was using her spectacular vertical leap to retrieve shoveled snow; today, she's made the discovery that icicles are a pup's finest treat. Downtown storm measure just before noon Friday 2016-01-22 - 122 East Fortune Street, Columbia, KY - Photo CM staff. This very UNscientific measure was taken just before noonCT and shows the very real possibility that Columbia is now at eight inches of snow and snow is still coming down hard and fast. The weather predictions were right on target this time, starting with the quarter inch of ice before the snow storm. The photo at right is of the bird feeder with ice in the bend and on the tip. Tracked Pickup truck like a snow shoe rabbit 2016-01-22 - 101 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, FM 92.7 the WAVE & FM 99.9 the Big Dawg. This truck converted to ride on rubber tracks has been the big attention getter this morning. Track systems for pickups are not at all common in this area - this is the first time I've ever seen one pass the studio - but a variety of them can be found through Google. Apparently the conversion of this system is fairly simple, and there are kits one can use which use convention tired vehicles which drive onto the track system and it's as simple as that.
