Upward Bound Program students in the audience had questions about Mark Twain - American Icon, performed by Robert Brock Saturday February 6, at Lindsey Wilson College. Brock told them he practiced about two and a half hours every day for seven months in order to be ready to become Mark Twain on stage. The free Chautauqua event was attended by about a hundred people, mostly students, from Adair, Casey and Metcalfe Counties. Numbers of licensed electricians growing thanks to free class 2016-02-07 - Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo Chris Bennett. Five weeks into the free master electrician training course, 26 students are meeting two nights a week for a total of six classroom hours each week, heading toward their goal of becoming licensed electricians. These electricians are learning to speak a new language (National Electrical Code). Bennett noted that some of his students are working as far away as Lexington, then driving to Columbia for three hours of electrical training two nights a week and then driving to their homes.
