Locusts and Pawlonia hadn't reached their peak on Saturday, April 23, 2016, but there's great promise. What has happened is summer green over the Hills of Hardscratch. And things can't get any more calming or beautiful . . . a reminder of a sometimes remembered quote, "When God picked green for grass and trees, he couldn't have picked a prettier color." Several vendors took advantage of today's practically perfect Yard Sale weather in Coburg, including the Youth Group at nearby Cane Valley Baptist Church. Above Bonnie Lawhorn with daughters Billie Jo and Samantha, were selling Peanut Butter Pie, Butterfinger Pie, Brownies, Cookies, Rice Krispie squares, cake and Lemonade, and were relaying orders for hotdogs, hamburgers, and pulled pork sandwiches inside. The money the youth of Cane Valley Baptist is raising is going toward a mission trip.
