Hail, last night, was ankle deep around ATS Mobility plant buildings 2016-05-11 - ATS Mobility, 238 Development Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. The hail was calf-deep on the ground just under eaves where where hail which hit and dented the roofs slid to the ground. It melted really quickly, Rob Wilkerson, CEO, above, said. When this photo was taken Wednesday afternoon, the young businessman was running on borrowed energy. Getting the production back on track, assuring deliveries as promised, working with insurance adjusters and handling scheduling of production workers had left little time for sleep, much less the gymnastics asked of him to illustrate the depth of the hail last night. His mind at the time was on the damage to the 150 or so vehicles on the lot, all of which sustained dents. ATS Mobility owner Rob Wilkerson placed his hand near some of the dents caused by hail last night, Tuesday, May 10, 2016. From the shortest distance away, the damage is scarcely evident, but it is pervasive - and very expensive to repair. Some of the vehicles have as many as 250 dents, which, at $10-$25 each dent to repair using the Paintless Dent Removal system, repair costs are estimated at $4-5,000 per vehicle. Dr. Mike Bosela of Lindsey Wilson College said that three different varieties of Wild Iris are in the college's Natural Garden. There are two purple varieties and another which is Copper Iris.
