Pastures are as much or more yellow this year with a beautiful wildflower which is a noxious weed for cattle farmers, called buttercups. Some fields are so solidly covered that it looks as though the plant had been purposely grown as an agricultural crop. However, Adair County Agent Nick Roy said, "It's a weed.
