Epicurean Kentuckian - Steakburger Up on the Ridge (Ad)

Steakburgers are generously sized at Patty's Liberty Road Deli & Grocery, and the lettuce, tomato, sliced sweet white onion are, too, filling out beyond the big bun. This one was topped off with dill pickle slices, some mustard, and some hot sauce. The juicy burgers have a prime cut beef flavor. Something's going on with the seasonings, but that's a trade secret. Guess if you will, but no need wasting your time asking. - EW/CM.

Lindsey Wilson Water Tower: Like a ride at the County Fair

Looks much like a new ride for the county fair, but it’s really just the LWC water tower getting ready for sand blasting and a new paint job. I did not get a chance to talk with the ride operator today, but I believe it’s about ready to hoist the curtains so it can be sand blasted. It’s gotta be hot working up there. My understanding is they are planning on about eight weeks to complete the tower painting. - George Kolbenschlag. At the Thursday meeting of the Columbia/Adair Utilities District (CAUD), GM Lenny Stone and Commissioner Mike Newton confirmed that sandblasting is expected to start this morning, Friday, June 10, 2016. - CM
