At about 5:30pmCT the Metcalfe County wet dry election is finishing up. Waiting for totals are From left: Jimmy Shive, Jailer; Rondal Shirley, Sherrif; Geniece Marcum, keeping everyone in line; Ronnie Miller, Republican representative, Metcalfe County Board of Elections and city councilman; and Barry Gilley, Metcalfe County Attorney. Gilley said, "the yeses believe they have it, the nos believe they have it -- one group or the other is going to be disappointed tonight."

Carol England Chaney, the Metcalfe County Clerk in her 18th year, announced the Absentee vote totals a little after 6pmCT June 28, 2016 in the old court room of the historic courthouse in Edmonton. It was the perfect place to wrap up the vote totals on the historic wet-dry election.

Tabulations are taking place in the clerk's office in the courthouse. Sheriff Daniels is a member of the board of elections with John Hurt, the Republican representative and Sue Ann Parrish, the Democratic representative. The other ex-officio member is County Clerk Kim King.
