Big Al pays homage to James Dean, his late look alike

Big Al Owens, the Big Rig Trucker, lower right shadow, stopped by Blackwell's Corner, to visit the site of James Dean's last stop. After buying snacks at the location, Dean drove off and a few minutes later, his life ended in a fatal crash. Big Al did not comment on the gas prices, but obviously they are nearly as reasonable as those back in his hometown, Columbia, KY.

Exciting GRL Lake Development: Holmes Bend Suites

Add Holmes Bend Suites, with meeting room to the growing number of accommodations for tourists coming to Adair County. This stage of construction was documented on July 4, 2016. Community leaders are foreseeing accelerated growth in Adair County's tourism revenue, with construction such as this facility, the new Sleep Inn expected by the next holiday, and prospects for more bed and breakfasts making the county much more attractive, especially for larger events were available rooms can be the determining factor.
