Butch still shows up for breakfast handouts each morning at the restaurant in Coburg, KY, but owner Melissa Moore says he knows something is amiss. "You could see it in Butch's eyes Saturday morning," she said. "That was the morning after news of the tragedy on Lake Lanier was first known." Butch is still unsettled, she says. He belong's to Larry "Stoney" Stone, and he's a favorite at Anthony's Auto Sales. He had a special guardian in Tammy Reece. When he needed attention after confronting three pitbulls, it was Tammy Reece who took him to the vet as she always did when Butch was ailing. While life in Coburg won't ever be the same now, folks are hoping Butch will continue to carry out his duties as the unofficial offical Coburg mascot.
