Plate-size center slices from an Heirloom Tomato Bruce Wilson had just picked from his organic garden and he and Patsy delivered straight away in a care package to our house made the perfect complement to the focaccia bread Linda had just made. Seasoned with just a a bit of salt and mandatory olive oil, canape sized chunks of the tomato married with a saltine size portion of bread was better than any pizza - yes even better than any tomato pie we'd ever eaten. Simple. Easy. Quick. An entire supper, with the perfect beverage, a really tall glass of C/AC Utilities District tap water chilled with a tray of ice, and shaken 100 times. It was supper. Homegrown ingredients made this first ever focaccia bread perfect. The home grown from the garden ingredient is fresh rosemary, carefully tended by Linda, Blue the Cat, and the Delightful Little Kitten from Nowhere. It was made from a mix, from an easy recipe which turns out a dough described as like pizza dough. The cheese choice was grated Parmesan, and it was just enough. The bread was served with a thick slice topping of fresh from Bruce & Patsy Wilson's garden, room temperature heirloom tomatoes. Perfect. Simple. Better than any pizza or tomato pie ever served.
