Big Bucks Board at Outdoor Expo 2016

The 2016 Megabucks board at this past Saturday's South Central Kentucky Outdoor Expo featured the biggest of the big bucks taken in Kentucky during the past hunting season. The buck pictured top center was taken by David Howard in December and scores 241 7/8" Pope and Young. Other non- typical Boone and Crockett deer featured include the Brooke Bentz, Christian County buck, Mark Cornette's, Muhlenberg County trophy and Tommy Sears giant Clay county buck. Typicals featured include the Mark Lundsford Woodford County 180 2/8" Pope and Young, Jeff Byrd's Hart County buck and Allie Butler's Breckinridge County buck. - Terry Partin

State NWTF Championship Still Target competition at Outdoor Expo 2016

The NWTF Ky State Championship Still Target Competition sponsored by Janes Fertilizer of Gradyville, KY is a favorite event each year at the South Central Kentucky Outdoor Expo. 2016 Winners were:- 12 gauge Open division: Brian Sloan of Statesville, NC. Second place went to multi world champion Steve Conover of Jamestown, KY.
- The 20 gauge Open was won by Joseph Sloan of Statesville, NC, with Jimmy Washam of Hazelhutstm GA Second.
- The 20 gauge ladies division was won by Doris Bush of Simpsonville, SCl with Carrie Scott of Oakdale, TN, second.
- The 20 gauge Jakes division was won by Joseph Sloan of Statesville, NC
- Amateur Division winners were Jason Yarberry of Columbia, KY, first; Billy Reid Gist of Edmonton, KY; second and Treyton Gist of Edmonton, KY, third.
The event was held at the Adair County Sportsmen's Club, 130 Sportsman Club Road (entrance across from Majestic Yachts), Columbia, KY.
