Senator Mitch McConnell spoke to Sarah Aaron Bromley, left, daughter of Dr. Phil Aaron, and Blake Aaron, right, Dr. Phil Aaron's son, before the memorial service for Dr. Aaron this morning at the Columbia Baptist Church. Senator McConnell delivered the first eulogy, recalling his friendship with Dr. Phil since their college days at the University of Kentucky. Though his years in public life, Sen. McConnell said, he knew that there would be a familiar face in the crowd when he would visit Columbia. "Phil would always be there," he said. Other eulogies were delivered by a dear colleague of Dr. Phil Aaron's, Dr. Chuck Giles; and by long time family friend Linda Waggener. Opening Invocation by Dr. Bill Scott, Minister of Columbia Baptist Church. Musical selection, "Imagine" sung by Greg Blair. Eulogies by the Honorable Mitch McConnell, United States Senate Majority Leader, Dr. Chuck Giles, and Linda Waggener. Poem, "He Is Gone," Sarah Aaron Bromley. Remarks by Blake Aaron. Musical Selection: "Come Sail Away," video. Message: Dr. Bill Scott. "The Lord's Prayer," led by Aaron Rayford Bromley. Musical Selection, "Amazing Grace," sung by Emma Jane Aaron Bromley.

Over 100 international students from over 40 countries at LWC

Eduarda Chagas, Paraguay; Jovana Ivamovic, Serbia; Emelie Liljered, Sweden; are three of 48 freshmen international students from 21 countries who arrived at Lindsey Wilson this week for seven days of welcoming the college and orientation. They join about 60 returning international students returning for classes beginning next week.
