It was taken on the occasion of one of Col. Beanpole's many visits to Waggener-Walker Newspapers, Inc., while his book was in the process of being published/printed there. Ralph or I may have taken it, Gordon Crump may have, and, depending on the year, it may have been Pete Walker. I suspect the latter. Pete was a master photographer. It all started years ago when Beanpole Willis gave me the rear wheels and said they were off an Amish tricycle. After years and years I was finally able to come up with all the parts to build this one. I couldn't have done it without help from Ann Upton, Donnie Henson, Bill Davenport and Mollie Quinn. They helped me locate the elusive pieces.
