The photographer as well as those at ColumbiaMagazine.com, want a positive ID on the plant. Our first guess is "Wild Mint," but don't start putting it in your tea or bourbon without an expert opinion. Send any answers using the "Comments" button with this photo. - EW

The Heartland Parkway: Intersection at Cane Valley
2016-09-04 - Heartland Parkway at KY 2972, Cane Valley, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener. The Heartland Parkway has gotten a bit of negative previews, because of the narrowed lanes from the original design and the narrow shoulders and close guardrails. But the jury is still out. The road is well marked. The intersection at Cane Valley Mill Road, in the dip, above, give emphatic visual cues which are better than the old road. The 2 + 1 concept thus far, seems to be working, so long as drivers strictly observe the 55 mph speed limit and are constantly vigilant. The green sign denotes the Captain Tony Grider Highway. Anyone wishing to share comments and/or safe driving tips on the Heartland Parkway may do so using the Comments link with this photo. - EW
