A Record: Largest crowd ever at Homeplace on Sat 10 Sep 2016

The fall heritage festival Saturday at Homeplace on Green River drew the largest crowd at the farm since it was first established as Homeplace in 2001. Both the barrel train engineered by Taylor County Judge Advocate Eddie Rogers and one of the two hay wagons, this one piloted by Adair County's Billy Payne, make their way through the traffic at the festival. The Kentucky Department of agriculture mobile science activities van can also be seen. The tent on the extreme right sheltered the grill of Green County's Smokin' Joe Creason and the white tent on the left was the temporary home of pioneer reenactor Ken Hill and his family. For the first time the parking overflow had to be parked on the green on the left of the photo. - George Kolbenschlag
