32 Year Veteran of Adair County Election Board Honored

Adair County Court Clerk Lisa Lee, left, chair of the Adair County Election Board, presented longtime Republican Party representative Billy Curry with a plaque honoring his years of service. The presentation was made at the outset of last nights regular September 13, 2016 second Tuesday session. Curry started on the board before many Adair Countians were born - Clerk Lee estimated 32 years ago. Curry was replaced by GOP party officials in Frankfort a few weeks ago. The seat is now held by Shannon Rowe, who is also Republican Party Chairman. Looking on, center, is Sixth District Magistrate Greg Caldwell. - EW

CMS students make flash cards to study

Campbellsville Middle School fourth-graders recently made flash cards to help them study for an upcoming test. Students in Kaye Agathen's social studies class are studying several geography terms, including natural region, plain, fertile, erosion, precipitation, sinkhole, natural resource, plateau, mineral, fossil fuel, limited resource, population, scarcity and more. To help remember the terms, students made flash cards with a term on one side and its definition on the other.
