Crowds lined N Main Street as hundreds of motorcycles left the parking lot at the First Baptist Church in the 10th Annual Steel Horse Stampede. This year there was a change in the route, with the motorcycles leaving the First Baptist Church rather than First Christian Church, taking KY 90 West for the loop over the Alpine Hill. In past stampedes, the procession was the reverse and the motorcycles returning from that loop would return to First Christian before the last of the cycles left the parking lot there. The charity run, which annually attracts some 600-700 motorcyclists, benefits Cumberland County's unique charity, "We Care," which aids cancer victims in Cumberland County.
